🇬🇧Our 14th stage goes around the Brec de Chambeyron (3389 m) going through Italy through the cols of Gypiere (2948 m) , Infernetto ( 2783 m) and Mary (2641 m) . It will be our toughest stage yet because of snow and wind conditions .

🇬🇧On the way to Col de la Gypiere, the snow is very compact and blown

🇬🇧Claire arriving at the Col de la Gypiere . Weather is becoming better but wind is still very strong

🇬🇧Nathalie at the Col de la Gypiere

🇬🇧Lunch Break at the bivouac Barenghi partly filled with snow but still ver

🇬🇧Barenghi Bivouac

🇬🇧The pré-Col de l’Infernetto , weather is getting worse and we just triggered a small snow plaque rupture in the couloir

🇬🇧we choose to go around through Grand Collet and the col de Mary because Ciaslara is too dangerous . Weather is getting better again

🇬🇧At around 4:30 pm . Weather worsens very rapidly with stronger and stronger snow falls, zero visibility and wind squalls over 100 km/ h . ( they are throwing us down on the ground . We will need 90 mn to cross the 700-800 m corresponding to the col crossing

🇬🇧Arrival at the bergeries de Mary at 8h30 pm which we found thanks to our GPS with no more than 10 m visibility and very strong snow falls

🇬🇧We all have been shaken by the very tough traversée of the col de Mary. We need more than 2 hours to get warm again . We are worried because we can’t warn the refuge de Maljasset of our difficulties

🇬🇧The bergerie supérieure de Mary (2370 m) . This picture was taken in Early May 2018 . During our Skilupingan passage this year the snow level was reaching half of the door height

🇬🇧On the next day we are going down to Maljasset , we are plowing through so much fresh snow that is takes us 2h30 mn

🇬🇧Arrival at the refuge de Maljasset, a lot of people and our friends and family were worried about us missing last night since we did not have any ways to warn them of our delay. Thanks to all

🇬🇧We have to take a break due to high avalanche risk , we enjoy this time off to discover the beautiful area . Two avalanches have cut the road downstream , the whole village is snowed in
